Emissions into the environment large amounts of mineral dust various grain and chemical composition always accompanies the development of the mineral complex. The main source of the dust, including its nanoscale component, is certainly numerous technological processes of mining. However, a significant proportion of fine fractions formed in the flow of geomechanical processes initiated by the intensive development of mining. Performed laboratory experiments allowed to nominate and to develop a hypothesis about the possible formation of ultrafine particles in the process of cracking of various sizes.
