In this century, the problem of the tsunami came to the fore, leading to as many victims as compared to other natural disasters. What happened ten years ago, the strongest earthquake in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Indonesia, December 26, 2004 with a magnitude of 9.3 has led to the tsunami were devastating for many countries in the Indian Ocean and killed about 300 thousand people. Earthquake March 11, 2011 off the coast of Japan triggered a tsunami magnitude 9.0 with a maximum height of about 40 m, and has led to a technological disaster: the destruction of the nuclear power plant Fukushimskoy. National and international tsunami warning service, and their effectiveness increases all the time (especially in predicting distant tsunamis) are established. Now forecasting tsunami and its consequences become practical: evacuation plans are communicated to residents, arranged training of the population, are built safety devices, etc. This article discusses the new trends, the survey should be used for the tsunami in recent years. The important role of satellite images that provide a view of the flooded areas in the large water areas, including in remote places. Tool for registering the tsunami started using bottom pressure sensors, with which characteristics are obtained tsunami 2007–2011, the Russian Far East. Discussed the need for robotic systems for inspection and registration of the survey should be a tsunami in remote places. Constructions of such complexes with good performance.
