OIL-SLIME processing and determination of the permissible content of refinery waste IN SOILS BASED bioassay

Washing oil-slime from the petroleum products at present is promising and convenient to operate method of recycling. The purpose of the study is the selection of an effective detergent for washing oil-slime with the water content in the range 25…65 % and 6…35 % mechanical impurities. Studies were performed with the use of oil-slime – products of scraping boats, tanks, reservoirs and storage of petroleum products. Before to washing oil-slime was analyzed for water content, mechanical impurities and organics. The various technical detergents for washing oil-slime with high water content and mechanical impurities were studied. The study can be noted that the processing of the initial oil-slime with an alkaline solution of sodium metasilicate and OP-10 allows washing oil-slime from petroleum products by 85…90 %. Washing other detergents, water or a solution of OP-10 without metasilicate such results do not. In the process of washing the oil-slime extracted petroleum, this is returned into turnover as a product close to the main indicators for black oil. Washed from petroleum oil-slime (sludge) can be used as building material. Application of the developed method of cleaning oil-slime for contaminated soil efficiently and depending on the degree of contamination of the soil enough to spend 3 to 6 washes operations. Bioassay results and analysis of phytotoxic effect, based on the content of photosynthetic pigments, allows to note that the permissible content of oil-slime in soil is 3 g/kg of washed soil – 80 g/kg. The dependence of some parameters can be described by the linear regression equations that predict the permissible content of oil wastes in soils for their recycling as impurities in road construction. Results of the research can be the basis for the development of high-technology of the cleaning of oil-containing sludge containing large amounts of mechanical impurities and oil-contaminated soils.
