Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back INFLUENCE OF RIVER WAVES CHANNEL MORPHOLOGY AND SEDIMENTS IN SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED RIVERS E.K. Balova This paper considers the nature of the formation of waves on the small and medium-sized rivers, explored the causes of natural and artifi cial wave generation. Depending on the location on the general direction of fl ow is allocated to longitudinal, transverse, reverse and standing waves. Describes the characteristics of the wave. Analyzes the process of moving materials along the river channel and discusses the results of the impact of wave energy on the distribution of the material on the bottom of the river and riparian zone. Evaluate the environmental effects of water waves on coastal biocenosis, sediments and coastal plants.
