MINING TECHNOGENIC LOAD
IN THE URAL ECONOMIC REGION |

Anthropogenic impact and harm to the natural environment causes a greater extent the mining industry. The article describes
the characteristics of damage from major industries (chemical, petrochemical, radioactive contamination) as a consequence
of the contamination of soils, rivers and wildlife. Many cities of the Urals economic region live in an environment
where Nora maximum permissible concentrations of harmful substances for some items already exceeds the allowable
several dozen times, and sometimes hundreds. Mining and metallurgical complexes create irreparable threat not only to the
environment but also to the population, is imprinted on the health of several generations. In connection with environmental
disasters in industrial enterprises, many areas have become unfi t for use. A vivid example is the lake Karagai, which became
the storage of liquid radioactive waste. On the basis of the analysis of the material was developed map of the Areas affected
by the maximum anthropogenic contamination.
