CONCEPTUAL DESIGN OF DATABASE FOR SLOPE EROSION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM |

There are various methods of identifi cation and classifi cation of soils and degraded lands. In order to implement protective measures necessary to assess the current status of the land. Existing techniques consider a different set of factors, which means that different types of degradation, but they are united by the need to determine the location and spatial characteristics of the study area. Such geosystem approach requires that the information in the database are two types of data - spatial
and attribute. Geographic information systems provide an advantage in linking spatial and attribute data. In the design of geographic databases and data banks high requirements related to the spatial form of the organization and presentation of data. An analysis of the subject area of research, information requests to the database being developed, as well as input and output data models analytical unit of our computer system, determined the choice of data that must be kept in the database.
The article proposes a generalized algorithm development of spatial databases for problem-oriented geographic information system.
