Baranov The presented article is devoted to the methodology and principles of organization of system of ecological monitoring of environmental objects on the example of Moscow. It gives you the General notion of «environmental monitoring» (EM), it tells about the history of the term, its objects and the main legislative basis. It is noted that the organizational form of the EM in Russia is the unifi ed state environmental monitoring system (USEMS) and govern mainly the two special organization Roshydromet and the Ministry of natural resources. In addition, the submission considers in detail the issues associated with subsystem USEMS, organized on the territory of Moscow and serviced by the specialists of the State Budgetary Environmental Institution «Mosecomonitoring», which includes the monitoring of air quality status of surface water bodies, noise levels, soils and vegetation, as well as geoecological monitoring.
