Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back THE STUDY OF THE ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF THE NORTH CASPIAN SHELF ON THE BASIS OF MATHEMATICAL MODELING N.V. Soloveva The article describes the method of assessment ecological condition of the North Caspian shelf on the basis of mathematical modeling. Based on the box model consists of nonlinear differential equations for key ecosystem components: the biomass of phyto-, zooplankton, algae, concentrations of biogenic compounds of nitrogen and phosphorus, suspended and dissolved organic matter, biomass of nekton as aggregated, averaged by the space components. Simulation of the annual (seasonal) the progress made for all of these components and confi rmed by fi eld observation. The results confi rm the adequacy of the model to the real object and open the possibility of predicting the consequences of anthropogenic impact on the ecosystem.
