Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back TORNADOES IN THE SVERDLOVSK REGION A.F. Teterin The article describes the tornadoes that have occurred in the territory of Sverdlovsk region. Modern catalogue compiled, which included sixteen tornadoes observed from 1900 to 2015. Describe tornadoes and their basic parameters have been given. The main climatic characteristics of tornadoes were calculated. Spatial-temporal distribution of tornadoes in the territory of the Sverdlovsk region was analyzed. In the period of regional warming in the Urals, in the near future we should expect slight increase in the number and intensity of tornadoes in the Sverdlovsk region. In conclusion, practical recommendations for improving monitoring of tornadoes and their consequences have been given.
