Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back 28’TH SEPTEMBER 2018 TSUNAMI INFLUENCE ON AN ECOLOGICAL SITUATION AT THE SULAWESI ISLAND (INDONESIA) A.I. Zaytsev, P.I. Pronin, A.R. Pelinovsky At 28’th September 2018 at the Sulawesi Island (Indonesia) happened strong earthquake and a tsunami which appeared the most destructive this year (more than 2 000 people died). Magnitude of earthquake was 7,5, and height wave nearly 11 m (Palu city) close to shoreline. This tsunami led to numerous destructions and changes in island ecology. As a part of the international expedition on inspection of traces of a tsunami the Russian experts took part. At this paper presented results of field survey of the tsunami influencing ecology at the coastal zone. Keywords: natural hazards; tsunami; ecology of a coastal zone.
