REGRESSION ANALYSIS OF WORKING ENVIRONMENT |

The paper discusses an approach to measure of knowledge worker’s performance on the change of the environmental conditions and quantity of illumination, which is based on the statistical data analysis. Applicability of the multivariable regression technique that determines a statistical relationship between one variable and several independent variables is explained. The multivariable regression equations obtained from the STATISTICA program are demonstrated using the table experimental data showing the change of worker’s performance following the simultaneous change in the temperature, relative humidity, air velocity, and quantity of illumination. Regression coefficient significance levels and contribution of each of four independent variables to the performance measurement are evaluated using the F- and t-tests. Characteristics on the estimation of absolute and ratio errors of experimental and calculated results are given. The application area is proposed.
