Kovalyov The article presents the results of field observations of the dynamics of currents and hydrophysical characteristics of the waters of the Kara sea at the beginning of the summer season 2019. It is shown that this period is characterized by the intrusion under the thermocline of waters with extremely low temperature. Data from measurements of instantaneous flow velocities showed that there is a branched system of currents in the Kara sea, which, due to lack of observations, has not yet been systematized.
