Shamsutdinov The article deals with the main problems in the field of drainage and treatment of surface wastewater from urbanized areas on the example of the city of Omsk. The relationship between the high risk of flooding in certain areas of the city and the lack of surface drainage systems in them is established. Several variants of organization of drainage and treatment of surface wastewater are proposed. Recommendations have been developed to improve the efficiency of the storm sewer system in Omsk and optimize the operation of the drainage system as a whole to reduce the risk of flooding, anthropogenic pressure on water bodies and improve the environmental situation in the city.
