Voronich In the presented article, the authors propose the justification of the priority list of pollutants controlled by the regional atmospheric air monitoring system, which can cover the territories of large cities and regions within the territories or regions, integrating data from observation networks that differ in approaches, parameters, tracking territories and frequency. In addition, it provides brief descriptions of the capabilities of traditional chemical, physico-chemical and physical methods, classified according to the specifics of laboratory, field and remote. It is noted that out of the whole variety of pollutants (chemical elements, simple substances and complex organic compounds) that enter the environment, taking into account WHO recommendations, heavy metals and their gas-aerosol compounds, volatile organic substances are of particular danger to humans, plants and animals. compounds, aerosols of various nature and dispersion, PM10, ozone, mercury vapor, persistent organic pollutants, greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4) and ozone-depleting substances.
