ATOMIC ABSORPTION DETERMINATION OF ALUMINUM, BARIUM, BERYLLIUM AND VANADIUM IN THE AMBIENT AIR AND URBAN AREAS |
N.N. Roeva, S.S. Voronich, I.A. Zaytseva
Aluminum, barium, beryllium and vanadium exist in the air as part of atmospheric aerosols. They are extremely harmful and toxic, so they are included in the list of priority pollutants and are subject to constant monitoring in the surface layer of atmospheric air at regional and background levels. In this article, the authors present the results of environmental monitoring to determine the composition of aerosol pollutants of the above-mentioned metals selected in the territories of the Kaluga and Chelyabinsk regions in 2019, conducted in accordance with approved methods, with sampling by aspiration to aerosol fi lters with an efficiency of up to 90 % when pumped through them, followed by complete decomposition and transfer of the desired elements into the analyzed solution, this makes it possible to perform quantitative measurement of the component by highly sensitive analytical methods of atomic absorption and atomic emission spectroscopy.
