Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back EVALUATION OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ROUTE OPTIMIZATION DURING OVERCOMING OF THE CONTAMINATED UNDULATING AREA R.N. Sadovnikov, K.S. Abaeva The paper proposes mathematical apparatus for the approximate calculating of the gamma radiation dose rate distribution on the contaminated undulating ground. It is shown, that there may be strong local distortion of the underlying terrain contamination in the environment of the hill. The descriptions of the possible contaminated area overcoming routes in the environment of the hill are formalized. It is established, that route optimization during the crossing over contaminated undulating ground may substantially reduce exposure dose.
