Ryabinkina The article contains information on the application of the gas chromatography method in the atmospheric air monitoring system. Volatile Organic Compounds are controlled by portable, separation-based instruments. A distinctive feature of this equipment is the presence of several separation columns and detectors, the variation of which makes it possible to expand the list of analyzed substances, to carry out cross-identifi cation, increasing the quality of the information received. In order to automate the sampling process in the environmental monitoring system at stationary posts, portable gas chromatographs with an additional unit are used. This unit is a chamber with a sample bag made of polymer material inside. Sampling by means of this specialized unit eliminates errors associated with the transportation of samples and their storage.
