USE OF CHEMICAL INDUSTRY WASTE ALUMINUM-MASTIC SLUDGE IN THE PRODUCTION OF EARTHQUAKE-RESISTANT BRICKS |

The reduction in the reserves of traditional natural raw materials for the production of earthquake-resistant bricks makes us look for new ways to replace it with various types of waste. Advanced foreign countries have shown the technical feasibility of this direction and its application as a tool for protecting the natural environ-ment from pollution. From the waste of the chemical industry containing an increased amount of aluminum ox-ide (A12O3>50%), it is possible to obtain earthquakeresistant bricks even on the basis of substandard clays. The disposal of chemical waste is an important direction of the world environmental policy. The growth of industry causes an increase in the number of emissions of hazardous elements. The development of measures in the field of industrial waste management is the primary task of the domestic policy of each state. On the basis of the waste of burnt rocks – inter – shale clay and high-alumina raw materialsthe waste of the chemical industry-aluminum-alkali sludge, which forms during the purification of effluents of ethyl and isopropylbenzene production, a earthquake-resistant brick with high physical and mechanical characteristics was obtained without the use of natural traditional raw materials.
