ESTIMATION OF STABILITY LIMITS OF AIR INTAKE OPERATION USING EDDY-RESOLVING TURBULENCE MODELS |

The paper presents the technology and results of the flow problem numerical simulation in the air intake. An original approach was applied to constructing a technique for modeling separated flows for a problem with a complex geometric shape, including a method for constructing a computational model and developing numerical methods that make it possible to perform high-precision simulation on a grid of arbitrary polyhedrons. The presented algorithm allows not only to analyze the flow around full-size objects, but also to significantly improve the calculation accuracy when modeling separated flows, which brings the modeling of separated unsteady turbulent flows in solving industrial problems to a qualitatively new level of accuracy of modeling unsteady flow around various bodies.
