THE USE OF NON-FERROUS METALLURGY WASTE AND ASH SLAG OF EAST KAZAKHSTAN IN THE PRODUCTION OF WALL MATERIALS
V.Z. Abdrakhimov

Considering the existing difficulties in creating a raw material base for obtaining wall material, it is necessary to look for opportunities to replace traditional natural raw materials with multi-tonnage waste from non-ferrous metallurgy and fuel and energy complex (fuel and energy complex), especially the experience of ESOVA (European Association of Coal Combustion Products) has clearly shown this. In the presented work, the objects of research are non–ferrous metallurgy waste – HCI (the clay part of the gravity "tails" of zircon-ilmenite ores) used as a clay binder and fuel and energy waste - ash-slag material used as a thinning agent and partially burning additive. It was revealed that without GCI cleaners at a temperature of 1000 oC, it is impossible to obtain a ceramic brick above the M75 grade, and at 1050 oC above M100. It was found that the introduction of the optimal content of dehydrated clay obtained from HCI and ash and slag material (30 %) can significantly increase the grade of bricks at 1000 oC from M75 to M125, and at 1050 oC to M150. Studies have shown that the introduction of ash and slag material into the compositions of ceramic masses, in contrast to the use of a similar amount of dehydrated clay, at an optimal firing temperature of 1050 oC (at which a brick of the M150 brand is obtained) almost halves the thermal conductivity from 0,780 to 0,345 W / (m ∙ oC) and increases frost resistance from 48 to 51 cycles. The use of multi-tonnage waste from non-ferrous metallurgy and the fuel and energy complex contributes to the disposal of industrial waste, environmental protection and the expansion of the raw material base for the production of wall materials.
Keywords: waste of non-ferrous metallurgy and fuel and energy complex, GCI, ash and slag material, dehydrated clay, wall materials.
