Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back HAZARD AND RISK OF EMERGENCIES WITH OIL SPILLS E.G. Petrova The paper assesses the danger and risk of emergency situations with accidental spills of oil and oil products for the Russian regions. The information collected by the author in the electronic database on accidents and emergencies of technological and natural-technological nature is used. The degree of danger of emergency situations was determined by the frequency (average annual number) of accidents on the territory of each constituent entity of the Russian Federation by the type of facility of the oil complex. The level of risk of emergencies was evaluated according to their total number in each region during the entire long-term observation period (from 1991 to 2021). The main sources and causes of accidents are analyzed. The regions of the greatest danger of emergency situations with oil and oil product spills are identified by the type of oil complex facility, as well as regions of the greatest risk of such emergencies are found.
