THE MOTION OF THE SOLID PHASE IN A SLOPING DEBRIS FLOW |

The debris flow mass, regardless of the material composition and structural-rheological type of debris flow, is a heterogeneous coarse- dispersed two-phase system with a solid phase in the form of mineral particles and a liquid dispersion medium represented by a debris flow suspension. Since the debris flow mass can simultaneously contain mineral particles of different density and size in its aggregate state, it is a polymineral polydisperse suspension. In the moving debris flow there is a complex system of interaction of different phases. The author considers the movement of the solid phase in a slope debris flow, determines the features of the material composition of the debris flow mass from the position of the solid and liquid phases, establishes the features of the interaction of the phases of the debris flow mass of slope debris flows, reveals the influence of the interaction of the phases of the debris flow mass on the slope debris flows.
