Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back THE ROLE OF THE MECHANISMS OF THE RELEASE OF WASTE INTO THE ENVIRONMENT IN THE FORMATION OF ATMOSPHERIC AEROSOLS E.Yu. Shachneva The article describes the main mechanisms of the release of waste into the environment. During the research, three main mechanisms of the formation and pollution of the environment were identified: physical processes (evaporation, sublimation, diffusion, condensation); mechanical processes (dispersion of a substance in a condensed state); chemical processes (complexation, hydrolysis and redox processes). The main physical and chemical parameters of the atmosphere are considered. The reactions that control the concentration of water vapor in the atmosphere are described. The concept of aerosol systems, such as dust, smoke, fog, haze, smog, is presented. All described systems have characteristic colloidal dimensions. The article describes a possible mechanism for the formation of aerosol systems based on the process of vapor condensation, as well as in the course of a chemical reaction. The reactivity of aerosol particles is considered. The graphical dependence of the Fermi energy, which describes the reactivity, on the number of atoms is presented for the example of a silver cluster. Expressions are given for calculating the parameters of the thermodynamic stability of aerosol particles. The process of electrization of aerosol particles is described.
