RESEARCH OF THE APPLICATION EFFICIENCY OF A POWER PLANT BASED ON SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELLS AND BATTERIES FOR LIVESTOCK ENTERPRISES POWER SUPPLY |

The problem of improving the environmental and energy safety of livestock enterprises can be solved with the help of local energy sources using biogas from animal waste as fuel. In the paper, on the example of a livestock enterprise in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the modernization of the power supply system, which is powered by a centralized electrical network, is considered by integrating into it a power plant based on solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) operating on biogas. A block diagram of the power supply of an enterprise with a power plant based on SOFC and storage batteries is given. Analysis of the system operation modes is performed. For the enterprise under consideration, studies of the infl uence of economic factors (tariffs for electricity and the unit cost of fuel cells) on the efficiency of the SOFC power plant were carried out. The complex discounted costs for the power supply of the enterprise are taken as an efficiency criterion. A methodology has been developed for selecting the optimal installed capacity of an SOFC power plant, taking into account the relationship between the characteristics of the power supply system of a livestock enterprise and the waste disposal system. Suggested recommendations for the use of rechargeable batteries.
