Infl uence of Bioplasticizer on the Heat
Stability of Polyvinyl Chloride |

Polyvinyl chloride is a universal polymer and has no equal in its ability to modify properties. Therefore, PVC is used to produce a huge
number of materials and products with a wide range of characteristics. However, a signifi cant disadvantage of PVC is its low stability,
therefore, to solve practical problems that inevitably arise during the processing and operation of PVC materials and products, a wide
range of additives for various purposes is used - stabilizers, plasticizers, fi llers, etc. However, in modern conditions, requirements for
the environmental safety of polymer materials are increasing. Identifying potential threats to human health from additives used. In this
work, the effect of EMERM concentration on the Shore hardness and brittleness temperature of PVC plastic compound was studied; the
dependence of the content of volatile substances in a mixture of plasticizers was studied. The effect of a biologically based plasticizer,
vegetable oil epoxidized methyl ester (VEME), on the heat resistance of polyvinyl chloride was investigated. It has been established that
complete replacement of dioctyl phthalate with EMERM makes it possible to increase the heat resistance of PVC plasticizer. An increase
in resistance to color changes during high-temperature heating was also noted.
