Analysis of Filtration Flow Velocity Fields in Modeling and Calculation of Environmental Mass-Exchange Equipment for Treatment of Gas Emissions and Liquid Discharges from Industrial Enterprises. Part 1. Velocity Fields

The necessity of analysis of local velocities and recognition of local hydrodynamics in working volumes of ecological mass-exchange
systems is considered. The basic methods of recognition and registration of values of local velocities of carrier streams in cross-sections
of ecological mass-exchange apparatuses, as well as advantages and disadvantages of these methods are given. The methods developed
by the authors and corresponding formulas for calculating the dispersion of local velocities of the carrier fl ow both for measurement
planes passing through the longitudinal axis of the mass-exchange sorption apparatus (radial, diametrical and concentric circumferential
values) and for spatial fi elds of filtration fl ow velocities are presented. Examples of experimental data of filtration fl ow velocity fi elds of
gas fl ow through layers of adsorbents zeolite NaA with equivalent diameters of granules d = 1.6–2.5 mm and active aluminum oxide (Q1)
d = 3–5 mm with further data processing and obtaining model parameters necessary for improving mathematical modeling of massexchange ecological systems are presented. An example of construction of differential C-functions of the conditional indicator distribution
response from the analysis of radial values of filtration flow of the gas phase fl ow through the layers of the studied adsorbent granules is
given.
