It is proved that traditional methods of environmental water condition monitoring which are based on the taking samples and their further analysis in the stationary laboratories are ineffective, especially by monitoring in the areas remoted from the analytical laboratories. The new technologies of environmental water condition monitoring are considered. They are based on the using of the shipborne equipment complex for ecological monitoring of environmental water, equipped with the apparatus of the new generation for the physical and chemical parameters of water express analysis. It allows to get necessary information on a real time scale while a ship is moving. The main technical characteristics of the patrol boats with the shipborne equipment complex for ecological monitoring of environmental water designed in the Joint-Stock Company "Association of marine instrument manufacturers" are presented. The complex was exploited in the various regions of the Russian Federation. The results are considered.
