Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back Perspectives of application of xenon gamma-ray detectors for ecological monitoring Ulin S.E., Dmitrienko V.V. , Grachev V.M. , Uteshev Z.M. , Vlasik K.F. , Novikov A.S. Brief history review of xenon gamma-ray detectors creation (XGRD) is given in the article. Main physic technical characteristics of modern XGRD are considered, and comparison with other types of spectrometric gamma-ray detec-tors is made. Basis for expediency of XGRD application in radiation ecological monitoring is given. Main tasks of gamma-ray spectrometric research, which can be carried out by means of XGRD on the surface of the Earth, as well as onboard the aircraft including cosmic ones are considered.
