SEARCH FOR THE MOST SIGNIFICANT FUNCTIONAL-METABOLIC EFFECTS OF PROLONGED IRRADIATION OF LOW INTENSITY |
L.N. Rasina, N.A. Orekhova, A.N. Varaksin
Within the EURT area radionuclide contaminated and control territory were received a samples of wood mice populations (Apodemus (S.) uralensis Pall., 1811). The effect of radioactive of environmental pollution on the biochemical parameters of lipid, carbohydrate, protein metabolism and their dependence on the sex of the animals was studied. With the help of discriminant analysis were established the most important functional- metabolic effects of prolonged low-intensity irradiation: parameters of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism contribute more to the separation of EURT/control animals and characterize the effect of chronic exposure as the mobilization of lipid and carbohydrate reserves of the organism on the growth in energy consumption to maintain a higher level of functioning; dependence of the parameters from the sex is manifested only under conditions of the EURT, and the reaction of females is more pronounced due to the increase of carbohydrate metabolism.
Key words: radionuclide contamination; small mammals; discriminant analysis; metabolic homeostasis; dependent on the environmental contamination and the sex of animals.
