Models of Circumterrestrial Space Contamination by Natural Bodies

The comparison of circumterrestrial meteoroid models is provided. By now quite a number of meteor matter models have been developed. On their basis multiple updates have been created since 2000, which are used by the authors for specific research. In our country the state standard «Meteor Matter. Model of Spatial Distribution» is adopted. Like many other models, it is based on the data of visual, photographic, and radar meteor observations. The modern TV meteor observation methods considerably differ from visual, photographic, and radar ones. They have higher accuracy and a different zero point. The results of measuring meteor burst energy using different methods may differ enormously. In this respect we are considering the idea of creating a new near-earth natural contamination standard based on the data of the modern meteor phenomena monitoring. The standard’s new version must be based on the data of TV monitoring and impact sensors on space vehicles. These data are sufficiently accurate and exclude subjective approaches characteristic of visual observation interpretations, as well as make it possible to estimate the meteor and meteor flow physical parameters on a realtime basis.
