Svetukhin At the real stage of development of agriculture the special attention should be paid to the degradation of soil fertility connected with decrease in reserves of a humus, micronutrients and macronutrients. The considerable areas of arable grounds are brought out of use in connection with pollution of soils and deterioration of their physical and chemical properties. All this raises concerns for destiny of chernozems which are the most common soils in the territory of the Ulyanovsk region. In the present work results of research of chernozems of Main and Baryshsky regions of the Ulyanovsk region are presented. The estimation of an ecological condition of chernozems on the basis of indicators of their physical and chemical condition (a humus, рН, the exchange bases of Ca2+ and Mg2+, microcells, heavy metals and others) is given. The received results reflect negative trends in change of an ecological condition of chernozems. Necessary measures to increase of fertility of soils and prevention of their degradation that can guarantee stable productivity of agroecosystems.
