Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back Method of Quantitative Assessment of the Biota in the Development of Natural and Technical Systems Development Complex Structure of Ore Deposits Galchenko Yu.P. Current state of the environmental assessment of the level of anthropogenic impact on the natural biota is characterized by using methods based on the comparison of the number of man-made pollution with some norm established by law. This approach is not methodologically correct, because does not consider the state of the natural biota and does not allow to differentiate the tier of the technologies. The proposed approach is based on a system of criteria, taking account of the natural biota through the given value of the area of man-made destruction. Measures required for the calculation of the criteria may be obtained by direct field measurements. The technique allows not only to give an integrated assessment of the environmental impact of the mining company as a whole, but also to determine the differential rates for the applicable mining technologies.
