New methods, technologies and devices for the diagnostics
of vegetation covers |

The questions related to the assessment of vegetation cover characteristics by means of data of multi-channel remote measurements are considered. Algorithm for the identification of spectral images of vegetation covers based on the creation of teaching samples is proposed and using technology of synthesis of geoinformation systems of new generation. Also the algorithm to calculate biometric and production characteristics of vegetation using spectral measurements in radio band is developed. This technology proposes balanced scheme for combined use of observation data, algorithms of spatial-temporal interpolation, computer cartography, and models to reconstruct spatial distribution of soil-plant formations taking into account of their parameters dynamics. Examples of spectral images for different land covers are given. Structure of the archive for biometric and production characteristics of plants is discussed. It is shown the role of GLONAS/GPS systems in solution of problems related to the diagnostics of vegetation covers.
