Development of the Industrial Emission Control
of the Stationary Sources of Air Pollution |

The article describes the facility meant for the measurement of pollutant concentration field and the velocity field of gas flow. The facility allows to reduce the labor input and to improve the measurement accuracy of contaminant concentration, gas flow velocity as well as emission rate by means of portable measuring devices and continuous emission monitoring systems. This is achieved through the implementation of: a) simultaneous measurement of 4 values (concentration, speed, temperature, pressure), by setting the shifting gear manually at the measuring point at any section of the emission source; b) measurement of emissions of polluting substances (PS) with one set of measuring instruments (MI), which consists of a Prandtl tube, a thermocouple, a millivoltmeter, a portable or transportable gas analyzer, at 3, 5 or 10 emission sources, equipped with an application; c) regular public and industrial monitoring of emissions of polluting substances at levels of up to +50 m of smokestacks and mains gas ducts; d) sampling for instrumental and laboratory control method in the finding point of the measuring section, where the concentration of polluting substances is approximately equal to the average concentration in the section.
