Detection of indications of destructive effects produced by environmental factors on higher plants based on ip camera data |

This study proposes a technique for processing color video or photo images from a standard IP camera aimed at detecting possible injuries to green plants caused by unfavorable environmental conditions. The presented algorithms of image analysis and segmentation enable detecting both green plants and areas of assumed injuries in them. The authors have developed and used a specialized software product, FNX Spectrum Analyzer, which employs the proposed data processing algorithms. Results of the experiment carried out under artificial controlled conditions show the effectiveness of the proposed indications of injuries in green plants. The validity of this conclusion has been confirmed by an independent biophysical method, PAM Chlorophyll Fluorescence, used to estimate the physiological state of plants.
