In order to study reactions to the radioactive contamination of the environment with wood mouse (Apodemus (S.) uralensis Pall., 1811), which live on the East Ural Radioactive Trace (EURT) and the control territory (90Sr content in the soil to 17 MBq/m2 and 44 kBq/m2, respectively), the regression analysis of parameters of metabolic homeostasis (lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, energy exchange and plastic processes) was conducted. The values of the Pearson,s correlation coefficients (r), describing the closeness of relationship between parameters (Y and X), and the values of the regression coefficients b1, characterizing the dependence of Y on X were established. Shifting the balance between energy exchange and plastic processes in the direction of increasing energy metabolism by increasing the activity of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase at a lower level of plastic protein-synthesizing process determines the increase in physiological tension of cells, tissues and the body as a whole in the conditions of technogenic radioactive contamination of the environment.
