Goransky A.V. Dementienko A.V. Kuzmina Yu.A. The current state of environmental monitoring is considered. The creation of an information-modeling system for monitoring and forecasting of the environment state and preventing pollution from adverse effects of hazardous chemicals and industrial wastes is substantiated. Functional structure of the information-modeling system and functional structures of its subsystems are presented. Databases which are part of information-modeling system are considered. They include: database of chemicals properties and chemical products hazards, database of sources of industrial emissions, database of wastes of chemical and other hazardous industrial facilities. The logical and physical models of these databases are presented and the integration scheme of databases is proposed. The description of software which was used for realization of the information-modeling system is presented. The examples of working with databases via user interface are shown. The recommendations of using the information-modeling system are proposed.
