Environmental problems of medium and small rivers
of the central russian strip
and way of their decision |

The article considers the problematic issues of formation, development and use of medium and small basins of the rivers, as in the territory of the Russian Federation, and around the world. Particular emphasis is placed on receptions on stabilization and improvement of their condition in the Russian Federation , taking into account the prevailing trends in the use of the riverbed , not only in our country but also globally in general. After analyzing the existing anthropogenic impacts, the author concludes, the need to review the existing priorities in the integrated use of water resources in Russia. The basis of the formation, which primarily lies rational respect for the rivers as habitat of living organisms and sources of drinking water. All other alternative uses of water, hydropower, agricultural industry, boating, rafting, etc., are valid only as long as they do not affect the vital functions of water.
