Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back Application of lichenoindication methods of air research in the environmental education Goretskaya A.G. Margolina I.L. The article is devoted to using bioindicational methods in environmental education. Lichens are universal indicators of air pollution of anthropogenic pollutants and, as epiphytes, they managed to indicate the concentration of sulphur and nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere. It’s review the possibility of application of modern methods of lichen-indication researching, including analysis of the results of research of total mineralization of water extract of dried specimens of lichens, which are sampled in areas are exposed to various anthropogenic impact. This allows accurate and reliable estimate degree of air pollution. It’s review the possibility of application of modern lichenoindication methods in the educational process in research projects at realization the assessment of air pollution. Educational equipment called as «Kit for the assessment of the purity of air by bioindication methods» is developed by authors. Kit is oriented for using in environmental research activities in environmental education. In the methodological support to this kit proposed several specific field and laboratory test tasks.
