Proposed a new approach to the evaluation of the load on the atmospheric air as a result of dust and gas emissions that make use of the integral indicator of resource consumption, considered as a result of the total withdrawal part of the resource by means of direct (when removing oxygen) and indirect (for introducing foreign substances) of resource consumption. The results evaluation of the load from its sources emissions were showed on iron ore quarries, which could highlight the most dangerous of them. Considered character of load changes on the atmospheric air by removing dust emissions from the quarry by the production of mass explosions and dumping. Application of the proposed approach provides an opportunity with the using obtained results of assessment to choose priority directions of the development of measures to ensure the security adjacent to careers territories.
