Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back Valuation of damage caused by an increase in cancer mortality of the urban population of the Volgograd region as a result of environmental contamination by carcinogens Sukhonosenko D.S. The article presents the results of the economic impact of premature deaths caused by exposure to carcinogens in the urban population of the Volgograd region. Questions of economic estimation of cancer risk to population health caused by influence of different sources are examined. Analysis of different sources share of the economic estimation of cancer risk is lead. The quantity indicator of the economic estimation of cancer risk for population is given. Assessed the public’s willingness to pay to reduce the effects of carcinogenic pollution in Volgograd and Volzhsky. The analysis of the impact of various socio-demographic characteristics of respondents to the willingness to pay to reduce the effects of carcinogenic pollution. As a result, the public opinion poll a statistically significant difference in the willingness to pay ones of the respondents of different age groups.
