Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back NOISE POLLUTION OF INDUSTRIAL CITIES (THE EXAMPLE MUROM) V.V. Bulkin The object of study is the level of noise pollution in the city of Murom. This work using the methodology of the system analysis and test procedures in a real urban environment. Analysis of the main road traffic flows, availability of interregional freight traffic through the city, the territorial division of the city into two large districts with the natural limitations of the transport links between them, as well as the accounting of other features of urban infrastructure, have identified areas of the city with high noise levels. Based on the conducted analysis identified areas of the urban area, which ought to measure the noise level. The measurements of noise levels at these points carried out the analysis of measurement results. The data obtained so far, show that in these areas there is a significant (up to 28 dB) exceeded the noise level of the established sanitary norms. The conclusion about the necessity of drawing up noise maps of the city, which is necessary to conduct research on the combined analysis of the noise situation and forecast the direction of propagation of noise under the influence of local conditions, including weather conditions.
