Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back MODELLING OF THE SPECTRAL BEHAVIOR OF THE OPTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE NORTHERN CASPIAN SHELF ECOSYSTEM DURING THE SUMMER PERIOD N.V. Solovjeva The mathematical modeling of the spectral behavior of the optical characteristics of the North Caspian water layer based on the calculation of the major component of the ecological system, which is responsible for the processes of absorption and scattering. This article is a continuation of these calculations, published previously, with step by step comparison of model results with observations. Block model of the optical characteristics allowed us to simulate the spectral course of the absorption coeffi cients, large-angle scattering, diffuse refl ection. This paper presents the simulation of the spectra of these characteristics for the summer period. The analysis of the comparison of simulation results with observations, including contact and remote, showed good qualitative and quantitative agreement up to the order of the values of the variables.
