ASSESSMENT OF THE LEVEL OF POLLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW SNOW IN APPLYING ANTI-ICING REAGENTS |
O.E. Dryabzhinskiy, V.M. Zubkova, T.G. Pugacheva, A.V. Gaponenko
The article presents data on chemical composition of snow, indicators of anthropogenic impact on areas different distance from the road. The snow samples analyzed variables such as chlorine, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium. These fi gures are of interest because they are the main components of anti-icing reagents (AIR) and are able to exert a negative impact on the environment. As shown by the results of studies, the content of elements depending on snow sampling locations vary greatly, due to both the intensity of the reagents and the unevenness of their introduction. When using the reagents (AIR) in the territories adjacent directly to the site of their application created an extremely dangerous situation, especially in polluted snow water with chlorine, calcium, sodium, which can cause contamination of the adjacent media – the soil and groundwater.
Keywords: snow; sodiumchloride; toxicity; chlorides; anthropogenic impact indicator; monitoring snow cover.
