Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back STABILITY CRITERION OF UNIFORM SEDIMENT TRANSFER FLOW IN THE STEEP SLOPE CHANNELS ABSTRACT O.G. Natishvili By analyzing the general equations of one-dimensional sediment transfer flow and using the «small-disturbance» method for fl ow, we explore the stability of the initial uniform motion of sediment transfer flow and occurrence ability of waves on the free surface of the flow in chutes with steep slopes. Depending on the increase of the perturbing flow in time, in the sediment transfer flow the transition of turbulent forward motion into the supercritical flow (wave) mode is occurred.
