Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back DAILY AND SEASONAL WATER TEMPERATURE CHANGES IN THE COASTAL ZONE OF THE BALTIC SEA MEASURED BY THERMISTOR CHAIN S.A. Myslenkov, V.A. Krechik, A.V. Bondar Paper prese nts the analysis data received from thermistor chain, which installed in Southeast part of the Baltic Sea on D-6 platform in 2015. In total 10 temperature sensors were installed at different horizons with a recording interval of 1 min, the depth at the installation site was 29 m. During the study period, the water temperature varied between 2,4 and 21 °C. Registered 5 upwelling on depth 24 and 28 m. In the autumn and spring a daily variations with an amplitude of about 1 °C is well recognized. In the period from 22.10.2015 to 15.03.2016, there was no stratification, which was caused by strong autumn-winter convective mixing. Temperature fluctuation with 12 hours, 4...12 min periods was registered.
