Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back MONITORING AND ASSESSMENT OF THE HUMAN ENVIRONMENT IN THE MINING REGION OF THE KURSK MAGNETIC ANOMALY Yu.P. Galchenko, E.D. Yakusheva The article describes the results of monitoring and assessment of the state of human environment in the mining area of Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (KMA). Susceptible to infl uence of industrial complexes of KMA, ecosystems of Central Chernozem combine agricultural territories (where local balance is artifi cially maintained) with plots of forests and highwater beds, which can be considered as naturally balanced biosystems in spite of artificial origin of many of woodlands and intense anthropogenic impact on the high-water beds. Characteristics of anthropogenic impact on the environment in the regions of Zheleznogorsk, Gubkin and Stary Oskol were investigated during research expeditions of monitoring program of corn crake (Crex crex) on European Russia area. According to phytocenosis structure expertise, self-recovery process of primary xylium of forest-steppe in ecosystems of planted pinery becomes slower when drawing near to mining enterprises. Artifi cial xyliums in the immediate vicinity of mining enterprises are in a high degree of suppression and losing local stability. Anthropogenic impact on high-water beds ecosystems is less evident against the background of constant increasing of anthropogenic destruction of these ecosystems.
