Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back PECULIARITIES OF APPLICATION OF POLYACRYLAMIDE FLOCULATOR FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT FROM ZINC IONS E.Yu. Shachneva The article presents the results of studies of the application of the anionic flocculant series AK-631 (A-1510) for the flocculation treatment of wastewater from industrial enterprises of various fi elds of activity. The process of fl occulation of disperse systems with polyelectrolytes is described. The values of turbidity, chromaticity, and also flocculation activity of the reagent under consideration were determined. Graphic dependencies of the haze, color, and flocculation activity on the volume of the injected reagent are given. The percentage values of the clarifi ed part were calculated using anionic fl occulant. The results of cleaning model solutions of wastewater from industrial plants from zinc ions based on the test fl occulation method are considered. The disclosed method allows to remove up to 60 % of impurities, which allows one to draw a conclusion about the effi ciency of the purifi cation process using high-molecular polymers.
