Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back Radiothermal radiation of dry snow at centimeter and millimeter electromagnetic band Al.A. Chukhlantsev, V.F. Krapivin, A.A. Haldin, A.A. Chukhlantsev Analysis of known model representations for the radiothermal radiation from the snow cover in centimeter and millimeter range of electromagnetic waves is realized. Methodic is considered and results of polarized measurements of integral reflection coefficient for the snow layer are given for the experiments realized in the controlled conditions for the frequencies 6,8 and 18,7 GHz. Received dependencies between the polarized difference of reflection coefficient and snow layer thickness are compared with the results of in-situ measurements of the reflection coefficient for the snow cover. It is shown that polarized difference growths with the increase of the snow layer thickness and depends on the type (graininess) of snow cower. E-mail: alexch@infoline.su
