Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back Assessment of the environmental and toxicological vulnerability of marine areas to the impact of suspensions by the example of the barents sea M.A. Novikov It is recommended to use the method for assessment of the environmental and toxicological vulnerability of marine areas (marine biota) to the impact of suspension by the example of the Barents Sea. Suspension is inevitable to appear in any type of hydraulic engineering works at the sea bottom or during the bottom dumping. The estimate is calculated for the geographical expert and analytical system of the Barents Sea that was developed in PINRO using the principles of the GIS raster model. The estimate is made for each elementary area considering granulometry and toxicity of bottom sediments at a given site.
